Smartphone Hacks Every On-The-Go-Parent Needs to Know

Where would we be without our smartphones? They really do make every part of our daily lives easier, and if you are a busy parent-on-the-go, you know that not having a fully charged phone can put a real damper on your day. So charge up that phone and check out a few of these creative smartphone hacks. From saving your battery to never forgetting what you need at the grocery store again here's a few of my favorite smartphone hacks.

  • If you have a weak signal or poor internet connection, switch your phone to airplane mode for a few seconds. When you turn the phone back onto the regular mode, you'll see that your phone has a stronger connection and signal.
  • Before you head to the store, snap a quick picture of your fridge and pantry. This will help you when you get to the store so that you never have to wonder "Do I already have this at home?"
  • Screenshot travel directions before you leave your home. This way you can turn off the GPS and save your precious battery!
  • Out and about and notice your phone battery is getting low? Turn on low power mode to save your battery until you can charge your phone.
  • Store you cellphone charger and your headphones in an old sunglasses case. This way you'll always have the on hand and won't lose them in your car or house.
  • When you park in a parking garage, take a quick picture of the floor where you parked. This way, when you come back to your car, you'll know exactly where to find your car.
  • If your kids want to watch a movie on your phone while you travel but you are worried there are going to drop your phone, put the phone in a plastic bag and attach it to the back of your seat for hands-free viewing.
  • Mixing a little rubbing alcohol and water together makes a great smartphone cleaner. Put it in into a small spray bottle and toss it into your purse so you can take your personal cellphone cleaner on-the-go.
  • In the car and need a stand for your smartphone? Just use a hair tie and attach the phone to our air vent.
  • Is your battery dying quickly every day? Try disabling background data and app info that you don't need. You'll be shocked at how much more battery you have each day.
